How much does the ICAO English exam cost?
The official online exam costs €155 (launch price; standard price €169). That covers the full assessment for ICAO Levels 4, 5 and 6, with no extra fee for Level 5 or 6, and includes the official certificate issued through the approved testing body. It is one of the lowest prices for an online ICAO English exam. The optional mock assessment is €69 and a 50-minute lesson is €45.
Can I take the examination from any country?
The session is conducted online, so you can join from anywhere
with a stable internet connection, a quiet room, a camera and a
microphone. The assessment follows the ICAO language proficiency
framework and certification is processed through an approved
Language Testing Body. It is intended for EASA licensing use,
but your own licensing authority always makes the final
acceptance and endorsement decision. Confirm its requirements
before booking.
What if my licence country is not listed?
The country section shows all 31 current EASA Member States. If
your licence was issued elsewhere, contact your licensing
authority before booking and ask whether it accepts a
certificate processed through L6 Aviation OÜ, testing-body
certificate EE/LTAB/003.
Are recognition and submission rules permanent?
No. Authority procedures and recognition requirements can
change. Check the current instructions of the authority that
issued your licence before booking and again before submitting
your certificate.
Do I need to submit the certificate myself?
Usually, yes. Receiving the certificate does not automatically
update your licence. Follow the form, portal or endorsement
process required by your licence-issuing authority and keep
proof of submission.
What if my authority asks for verification?
Contact us and share the authority’s request. The
relevant testing-body details and supporting documentation can
then be provided for the authority’s verification process.
How does the optional booking schedule work?
You may submit one, two or three preferred dates and times in
UTC, or leave all options blank and discuss availability
directly. We check the request and contact you personally to confirm a suitable slot. Until then, the request
remains pending and no payment is due through the website.
How long is each ICAO level valid?
Validity under EASA rules is 4 years for Level 4, 6 years for
Level 5, and unlimited for Level 6. Requirements can differ
outside EASA or by authority, so confirm the endorsement
validity with your licensing authority.
When will I receive the certificate?
The official result and certificate will normally be issued
within 12 hours after the examination. Please allow a maximum
processing time of up to 24 hours.
Is this an official ICAO certificate?
The assessment uses the ICAO language proficiency framework and
is conducted by a certified examiner. Official administration,
results and certificates are processed through an approved
Language Testing Body. This independent website is not ICAO or a
civil aviation authority.
What is the difference between a mock and the official exam?
The mock reproduces the style and timing of an assessment, shows
you how an actual exam is conducted and includes personal
feedback. It does not produce an official result, licence
endorsement or certificate; its purpose is to make the format
familiar and identify what to improve before the official exam.
Can I take lessons before the exam?
Yes. You can book one lesson or arrange several sessions focused
on fluency, pronunciation, vocabulary, comprehension and
interaction. Lessons help you prepare but cannot guarantee a
particular ICAO level.
What do I need on exam day?
A valid photo ID, a reliable internet connection, a computer
with camera and microphone, and a quiet environment where you
can speak freely.
What happens if I need to cancel?
The policy is flexible: contact us as early as possible
and your appointment can be rescheduled to another available
date.
